Terran Demo 1004.2 live now!

3 materials have been enabled for this demo along with the related UI elements in the ship editor. Simply select the parts you want to change a material for then click the material in the left panel.
In the live game you will be given a small set of 'starter' materials other materials can be unlocked through various means such as joining a faction or corporation or as rewards or even loot on your adventures.
And yes you will be able to mod materials ;-)

This demo includes cannon, beam and missile type weapons with a simple version of each available in the ship editor. Fire groups are disabled so all demo weapons will be placed on the primary group (just add an left click to fire em all).
In the live game you will have a range of basic weapons to choose from in each of the size + category brackets. Different weapons have different fire rates, ranges, accuracy, limitation and ship requirements and can be assigned to 'fire groups' much like a 'spell bar'. Fire groups which we will introduce in a later demo can be manually controlled or assigned to special crew quarters for automatic firing we will also be introducing a new weapon category 'deployable' in a later demo update.

This demo includes a number of changes to the Demo menus though should feel familiar to previous updates. A simplified version of the game settings has been included though be aware this is a dev demo build and the Unity stock settings still overrides, non-stock settings will no save between sessions.
In addition to the new settings you will notice changes to the ship editor and combat UI in preparation for the next demo update.

We will be looking to make the Linux build a bit more friendly to install/setup at current you will be downloading a .zip and with in you will find Terran.x86 and Terran.x86_64. Choose the one that best fits your machine, you'll need to make it executable but that should be it.

This update includes changes to the UI, addition of a settings preview for UI colour, updates to the ship stat calculations and a new combat UI as well as additions of multiple camera modes.
