Like who wants to give someone something nice and of actual value only for them to complain and discard it?

Meanwhile, people see me digging through the literal trash and holding empty bottles above my head like they're the greatest treasure ever, and then they give me nice things for free in response. But I suppose I should be thanking ungrateful people for their ungratefulness because I might have to go out into the world and fight monsters instead of using trash cans like treasure chests, if people weren't throwing away good things.

I mean, yeah, I didn't got impressed by this year's games, but I got 3 from my wishlist for free. Also, I still didn't play any of last year's ones. So. Yeah.

@Sync - it wasn't taken personally at all. As I said, it was a tongue-in-cheek comment to point out that we got a lot of free stuff, so let's just be grateful we got something. My example of a PS5 and a new bike may have skewed the context; maybe I should have said "Santa brought me a dozen plus toys ..." etc.

If you don't think any of the games were worthwhile, then that's your opinion, fair enough.
My opinion was different; there were two that were on my wishlist. Others may agree with you or agree with me.

I will also admit that it's a bit of fatigue. Every game giveaway, someone is moaning that it's not a good enough giveaway, that they already have it, it's on the wrong platform, or it doesn't include the DLC... etc etc.

I do not know if anyone is interested in other things than games, but there is a promotion for perplexity AI (its an ai helper for search) it can also generate stuff like other ai tools (it uses their models) Its a big company.
they are offering 1 year for free (pro version) if you link your paypal to perplexity. Just google perplexity paypal. and once you signup remember to unsubscribe after so that you dont get renewed next year.

And on top of all that, some of the games are super buggy/low quality. I agree with you on every point. Mario wonder was a super easy game, I don't need every game to be super difficult, but at least a little challenge wouldn't hurt. At least we have a near infinite treasure trove of older games to play.

Maybe it's just because I'm turning into an old barsteward, but I've been finding myself playing so many old games for the last 5+ years because I'm just not enjoying many newer ones.

They're either too hand-holdy and easy, I like a good challenge, or they just don't seem to have a story or characters that really captivate and make me care about them.
Plus, I'm sick of someone's political agenda/opinions being pushed in the game, whichever side it is, I don't care... It's a game, I want to play to get away from stuff like that.

Honestly I like 20 year old games. There are a few good new ones too. Like sh2 remake. ironically, an old game, with a new coat of paint lol.
