Edit: Old groups were converted to the new group system when joining the server with the first player to join as the owner so bases should still be functional, but I'm seeing a lot of feedback arguing for some of the pros of the old system like managing huge groups across multiple servers. If you have suggestions on how to merge the two systems post your ideas; right now I'm considering bringing back Steam groups as a default group when you first join the server with lobbies overriding that, and then the ability in-game to leave or rejoin your Steam group.

This is inpart true... but remember Nelson has added things before people didn't like e.g. Senties, rocket launchers and now this, he will make it work and it will be amazing

joey when the entire lobby logs out and 1 person placed sentrys and the one who didnt place sentrys logs back in hes dead its just not very effective for people in diffrent time zones /play times

Nelson said you can invite people midgame and kick midgame. that way if you disconnect then reconnect they'll invite you once your back ingame "join and leave groups in-game from the playerlist" the keyword is ingame. Im not sure if your even going to read all this but if you are please continue to read. One example of how this would work would be; You and a friend (Bob) are playing then you meet someone (Jim) you can invite him whilst being ingame, you then crash, you reconnect and Bob can reinvite you to the group ingame, then you find out Jim is stealing all your hard earned stuff, so you kick him ingame, instead of having to wait till he disconnects because kicking him from the steam group wouldn't take effect until after he left the game
