Dawn of War 2: Retribution

Qualche settimana fa al GamesCom di Colonia, la Relic ha annunciato l’arrivo di una nuova espansione per Dawn of War 2 prevista per Marzo 2011. Un espansione che porterà una serie di novità (davvero tante) interessanti.
Qui sotto riporto un elenco esaustivo:

Informazioni Generiche
- Espansione Stand Alone (gli acquirenti che non possiedono i precedenti capitoli avranno TUTTE le razze sbloccate!)
- Abbandono di Game For Windows Live (per via dei problemi costanti che da ai player e alla software house)
- Passaggio completo a SteamWorks (per un miglior supporto e un miglior sistema, i precedenti capitoli Dawn of War 2 e Chaos rising continueranno a girare su GFWL ma non potranno giocare con chi possiede Retribution)
- Nuovo Matchmaker, nuovo sistema di rank e nuovo sistema di TrueSkill (verranno mantenuti i livelli delle razze che si hanno nei precedenti capitoli)
- Steam Achievements
- Nuovo eroe per la modalità The Last Stand
- Nuovo Tileset dei livelli, ambiente vulcanico/lavico
- Prevista una Beta ad inizio 2011

Single Player
- Campagna Multi-Razza
o Campagna Orki costituita da 4 eroi nuovi, circa 15 missioni in stile Chaos Rising

E' ufficiale! Non ci sarà il Game For Windows Live su Dawn of War 2: Retribution

La relic ha deciso di sfruttare la rete Valve Steamwork per la gestione delle partite, per il matchmaking, per le partite cooperative e cosi via.
Si avrà la possibilità di invitare gl iamici direttamente dlala lista amici di steam, si avrà la possibilità di sfruttare molte features di steam per la gestione dei gruppi e degli achievements, e per la chat.
Verrà introdotto un nuovo sistema di matchmaking e di trueskill appositamente creati per questa espansione!

Il motivo di questa decisione è chje questo passaggio a Steamwork permetterà di inserire molte features interessanti "codici" trial, fine settimane di multiplayer libero, e una maggiore velocità per rilasciare,patch and update!

Una volta effettuato questo passaggio Retribution sarà il primo titolo della serie ad essere completamente standalone a se da i precedenti capitoli e conterrà tutte le vecchie features, razze e modalità, si avrà la possibilità di giocare campagne multirazziali, si avrà una nuova razza e nuove unità.
Tutti questi contenuti a differenza della precedente espansione NON verranno rilasciati in una patch gratuita per Chaos Rising.

I possessori di Dawn of War II e Chaos Rising avranno la possibilità di testare tutte le fetures di steam nella beta del multiplayer che verrà rilasciata per il nuovo anno.
Molti più dettagli in merito alla beta verranno rilasciati in seguito.

Campagna multirazziale,rivelerà le risposte alle domande che ci siamo posti nelle precedenti campagne, si vivrà la storia dalla prospettiva di ogni singola razza, conquisteranno o distruggeranno interi settori a noi rimarrà la scelta...
La prima campagna razziale ad essere presentata è gli orki selvaggi

4. Muster your strength and resolve

5. Unlock the “Relentless”, “Chaos Lord”, and “Usurper” achievements by playing through Chaos Rising.

We recommend closing the game after you have unlocked all three ahchievments so that your active Raptr client will process the updates faster.
