Dion's Place is the place for custom games and dedicated servers for fun

Welcome to this silly little Steam group! Here at Dion's Place, we connect creative and friendly gamers for just getting together for fun times. Starting in 2014, Dion's Place has been the host of dedicated servers for Garry's Mod and a variety of other games, and we've made good memories along the way.

Currently in development:
- New forum outside of the Steam group
- Online store for accepting donations and integrating giving rewards in-game
- Renovating Gmod TTT, developing 3x DarkRP and 1x Battle Royale, renovating Sandbox. TTT, Sandbox, and Battle Royale taking priority first.
- Developing 7days vanilla and 7deez modded server, introducing in-game rewards, grab bags, redeem points for items or coins, donor perks
- Configuring LOTS of Gmodstore plugins and adding measures against cheating and exploits to all Gmod servers :)

Progress so far:
- 7deez modded server is 99% done, all mods being used are compatible from our testing since September 2023. This will keep running without any wipes if we can help it. One day in the future all 200+ mods will be updated for the V1.4 stable release.
- Gmod TTT server is functional but needs further testing for balancing. Uses extra roles to change up the flow of gameplay. Initial spawn won't be as hostile. I added more player spawns and weapon spawns to all maps that needed them.
- Gmod DarkRP servers are on pause. Old job scripts need to be updated to new player models or remade from scratch. All other maps, mods, 90% of player models, and most of the jobs are done and can function in the server. More content will be added. Pretty much all of my Gmodstore addons need to be updated.
- Gmod Battle Royale is nearly ready, there are 100+ maps available to the server so I have to create loot/vehicle/weapon spawns on every single one!
- Next dedicated servers to learn are: Space Engineers, Satisfactory, Rust, Space Station 14, eventually Arma 3/R. Also EFT.
- Space Engineers 1 will take priority when 7deez modded server is done. Gmod will continue after Space Engineers 1/2 server is functional.
- y'all wanna play some games? Doesn't have to be 7days! I'll gladly set up TTT or host something if you want.

7 Days to Die Modded Server: 7 Deez to Dion A21 Preppocalypse

Hey if you play 7days vanilla a lot like I have, then at some point you're going to find some interest in mods to freshen the game experience. What I've been experimenting with is a set of mods to bring the experience closer to what you expect from Rust. What this means is, I want players to join and treat the whole world as a territory to claim and maintain. I want players to build large bases and safehouses to fend off the zombies of the horde night, or to hide their loot from raiding players and clans. Most importantly, I want players to have the freedom to expand and build their character into their ideal job. I've used a collection of mods to optimize and expand the whole loot, skill perks, weapon damage, electricity, questing and crafting system.

Modpack was updated November 22nd 2023, no more major updates until 2024! All links to the original mod pages are included on a text file titled 7deez.txt

Here are some of the fun features of our server and the modpack:
- Open PvP at level 6! Fight for airdrops, gear, loot and money!
- Starter kit includes Bicycle, Knife and Pistol! Skip the tutorial and jump right in!
- Increased Forge input slots to 3 for efficiency, all items have huge stacks!
- Earn 2 Skill Points on each level up, Max level increased to 1000!
- Infinitely repeating questline for hunting zombies will give you constant Exp. and Skill Points!
- Learn the Prepper Strengths perk to earn Exp. even faster to accelerate toward later game stages!
- Invest your extra Skill Points to Prestige your abilities even further!
- New food recipes, fishing in waterways, raising bee hives and chicken coops
- Lots more zombies spawning in the world and in wandering hordes
- New dangerous zombies carrying weapons! If they shoot you it's gonna hurt!
- Optimized and expanded weather, loot, electricity, and weapons. Every item is more useful into the late game!
- Traders open from 04:05 to 21:50, new Quest types and lots more Quests available
- Party Exp. Share Range is set to Max so you always share!

Dion's Place Redux : Server Renovations!

Hello again after all this time!

Deep in the construct of Dion's Place, we have been busy at work! The efforts have gone toward researching and developing a more refined, stylized, and unique experience for the players that join our game servers. These developments are still ongoing, but they are now in a stable point that we can share more details...
We intend to launch the essential Gmod servers that you know and remember, including Sandbox, TTT, and some other surprises down the line! Currently TTT is running and you can join right now!

I have configured the server so that players will download the currently played map, as well as the rest of the necessary content, while they are connecting. This should make your loading time much quicker and smoother! When you reach the end of a map, you will have the option to vote for some maps that are NOT fully configured for TTT. You can still basically play TTT using some items from the store menu, but I would like your help in deciding what weapons should be placed in the maps! Please join and try out the many new features in our TTT experience!
