Good job everyone, but... we lost.

Well, we fought the good fight, I suppose. Incase you haven't heard the news, the update is LIVE. And with this good news came some bad news: WE LOST. The final kill tally, boys:

6,372,979 Soldiers KIA

6,406,065 Demos KIA

We got awfully close. But that's enough to show we fought hard and long. Incase you were wondering, the soldiers got a pair of boots that reduces rocket jump damage as the prize for winning the war.


I hope everyone had fun, and i'm very appreciative of everyone who joined DCDG to support the group and the Demoman. The group will remain open for Demoman enthusiasts, Soldier haters, and everyone who would like to stick around and discuss TF2 and the Demoman.

It's all over now. You can go back to your family.

Nice find, Getzu. Wow, that's a suprising find, actually. Hey, at least we have something to use against the soldiers if they brag.

Remember the propaganda contest? The soldier got 60,000 extra points as a result, and the demoman only got 25,000 points.
The final tallies for the war were:
Soldier: 6,406,065
Demoman: 6,372,979
If you adjust these numbers to exclude the results of the propaganda contest, the results look like this:
Soldier: 6,346,065
Demoman: 6,347,979
That's right, the soldiers won the war because of the propaganda contest. The soldiers were outfragged and won because of an art contest...SO unfair >:(

More than likely, Monky. I mean, both classes have some sort of explosive jump. If the soldier gets a pair of boots, I imagine that the demoman would have gotten something similar. Perhaps a new brand of alcohol to nullify the pain, lol

The sad thing is that this is a Pyrrhic victory at best - the Sollies are probably gonna gripe about being screwed out of the "extra weapon" Valve promised.
