Consortium Worlds has now gone Public folks! Get your teams organized and secure your stuff. If you need anything relocated, just feel free to ask me. This will be a test for the next week to see how our numbers improve. So far within minutes of my public forums post, people have started to join up!

Server Error-report Announcement

In the past 2 days there have been a string of glitches occurring. Ships, resources, materials and now.....asteroids have been magically disappearing. I'm aware of some of the glitches SEtoolbox may cause with specific objects, but this is not the case.

After some investigating, it seems the problem comes from the last patch we received. It has created a secondary library on my computer for saving Dedicated server maps. So there is a conflict of 2 paths that lead to 2 separate libraries for saves. I'm not 100% if this is the cause, but it might be a good explanation. I have restored some of the maps previous settings, fixing the double pathing issue, and loaded server on a new service.

If anyone has lost anything of value due to the last 2 days of crazyness, please send me a private message and I can go about manually restoring anything you lost.

Conclusion from investigation:

Pros: -Server runs on a dedicated service. Can now automatically restore server if it crashes :D (thx for a friend helping me)

-Asteroids have been replenished.

-Objects disappearing should stop now.

-We are super cool! :p

Cons: -My Auto-save backup script isn't working :cry:

-Lost a weeks worth of backups from patch. Some items can't be fully restored.
