The north aka the unionists aka USA was more anti-semitic and anti-jewish than the south aka the confederates aka CSA
I will explain
Jews represented one of the largest ethnic minority groups within the ranks of the Confederacy. In the Union, however, Jews were being expelled by Union army General Ulysses S. Grant who was one of the worst anti-semites of that time. Grant's “General Order #11,” expelled all Jews “as a class” from his conquered territories within 24 hours.
I have talked to Americans from both the south and the north and the north was and still is to this very day way more anti-semitic and anti-zionist/anti-Israel than the south.
