Welcome to Civitas Gaming! This is intended to be a relatively informal place for people to meet together, find like-minded gamers, and generally have a great time!

This is a tag-optional community. Since we are trying to be welcoming for gamers of all backgrounds, some of whom may not be willing or able to host a tag, wearing one is non-mandatory. We are here for the people, not for the tag. We are currently figuring out which tag to use, but if you want to wear one, CG or CiG will work fine.

Additionally, I want to make it abundantly clear that this community does not currently make any endorsements for or against any group of servers. While we recognize that most of us do come from similar backgrounds, this will not always be the case since this is a growing community. Anyone from any organization is welcome (and encouraged) to join, and should receive the same amount of respect as everyone else in the community. Respectful opinions and dialogue will always be welcome here.

There are, however, a couple rules.

1. No ranks/seniority/status. As the administrator of the website, I promise that I won't make major decisions without consulting the community first. No one will have ranks here, aside from temporary positions required for forum maintenance and organizational purposes. While it is possible that this could change in the future, it would require community consensus to do so.

2. No drama. Please don't bring baggage from elsewhere to here. This is a place where people should be able to come together and have fun without worrying about politics or needless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Violators of this rule will be warned and then banned for a period. Excessive forum trolling creates drama, and therefore falls under this rule.

That's all the rules that I think we need for now. As always, if you have any ideas for additional rules, please make a thread about it and we'll see what people think!
