How Civ 4 overwelms Civ 5

Someone convince me (nicely) why I should keep playing Civ 5? (other than that I shelled out $50 for it). I went back to Civ 4 and like it a whole lot better......

Range units ok, but with no stacking, game's fighting is a step backward.

I like the range units' ability better in 5, but generally wars are worse with no stacking allowed. Makes it even more unlikely to ever get a war victory before time ends, its' just too time consuming.....

Why can't helicopters, and the like, share a hex with a ground unit?

What sense does this make? What's the point of air superiority, if it has to fly around all the ground and naval units? It can take turns to get a chopper to a city. Absolutely absurd.
