Official Region 1 Franchise of the CGS

The Carolina Core is one of the six original franchises in North America of the Championship Gaming Series. The CGS is the first global professional gaming league with salaried players and large prize purses. The Core is run by General Manager Mark Dolven and has ten professional gamers spread across four different games. Those titles are Counter-Strike Source, FIFA08, Dead or Alive 4 (one male, one female) and Forza Motorsport 2.

Devour! The Movie Released

After 100 hours of labor and 600GB of hard drive space, Stephen Shevchuk of Snip3r Productions has released “devour! The Movie.” This individual frag movie highlights the career of Sam “devour” Chamma, the AWP superstar of the Carolina Core. It includes footage from his time on the Core, but also includes footage from his former teams that include Pandemic, Verge, Hyper and Devastation. This unofficial movie is of the highest quality and really does Chamma’s skill justice.

Because of the high quality of this movie, it has been made available in two different formats. The high quality version of the movie has been encoded with x264 and it requires VLC and a high performance computer. The recommended of the version is in Windows Media Player format and will run on just about any PC.
