Planetside 2 outfit: Chosen

Decided to change the name of this. Squad Leader is confusing. I see the role as a coordinator and not necessarily a leader of squads.]



With over 200 players on our roster now we're getting to the point where a bit more direction would be helpful.

To this end I'm designating the rank of Squad Leader Chief.
Up to now ranks have meant nothing. Everyone can invite to the outfit and that's it.

What the Squad Leader Chief Outfit rank is:

- a label for a player that wants to be leading squads and organising the others.

- a person that will respond to others ... members can log in, look at the Outfit roster and think "There's an organiser - i'll ask them".

- someone who wants to be the first to invite to Squad when members are asking and the first to start a squad if an Outfit one isn't currently going

What it isn't:

- the ability to demand to be given leadership of a squad or platoon

- the only people who can lead squads or platoons


I expect the following from Squad Leader Chiefs: Watch the Outfit roster and chat - invite anyone who needs a squad. I'd like them to be doing this even if they're not leading the squad.
They also need to be members of the Steam group.

In return Squad Leader Chiefs can change the message of the day. Use it to direct others and schedule opps.

Anyone can volunteer for the rank and I'll assign it reasonably freely. If the rank is having a negative effect in the wrong hands, it'll be revoked.

If anyone's heart cries out for responsibility let me know - please comment here or post in the discussions .... and if anyone has anything to say, don't be afraid to say it.

There's already a few people I can think of that could be given this rank straight away. To avoid favouritism I've chosen to make everyone rank 1 it 2 to start with and only promote on request.
