While it is almost two months too late, the developer behind Cortex Command has finally owned up to most of the mistakes that were made with the release of this troubled game. He has posted a statement in the form of a FAQ on the game hub and even included his offer of a refund. If anybody out there has been denied by Steam and still wants a refund they should check out the hub for details. Additionally, if you know somebody who purchased the game under false pretenses and isn't aware of the refund offer, I hope you will let them know.

It would no doubt be helpful for prospective buyers if there were a link to this group from the hub page, in case anybody cares to make one. Warning, though, very likely to be your last post in that forum.
