That's because I had to convert currency with conversion factors. € to USD, R$ to USD, pуб to USD. It was hellva annoying! Also, Russians and Europeans seem to like buying a lot of cards.

It's about as addictive as lighting your ♥♥♥♥ on fire, it's easily accessable in that you just get ♥♥♥♥ for it via osmosis, the only barrier for entry is having a willingness to waste time. It's only easy to see why some people spend hundreds on it when you're kind of a cynical douchebag that thinks that majority of people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

FYI, I just spent about 20 minutes to calculate all of my Steam market transactions to see how much of my Steam Wallet I had to spend on my badges. It came out to be about a
expenditure of 0.18 cents, which is really not that bad.

Collecting things is fine, if you don't do it to a stupid degree, but Steam trading cards/badges are the stupidest, most pointless thing to collect that I've come across in a long time, it's just asinine.

Sorry, collecting things has always just been a guilty pleasure for me.

Unless you bought your 182 games to just idle in to get like, 5 cards from each, the logistics of you getting enough cards to sell for all those badges is ridiculous. But that kinda sounds like what you did, so good job, that's waaaay better.

To be honest, I haven't really spent any money on cards, all I do is sell cards of games that I happen to own and don't want to build the badges of, and then use that money to buy cards of games I want to build. A benefit from having a huge steam library (mostly from buying 1 dollar bundles from Humble Bundle). I might as well as I'm not interested in any game on the steam store currently, and if you aren't going to spend Steam Wallet money, it just going to sit there.

If I really wanted to save up to buy Steam games, I would've done TF2 trading like my younger brother (He was able to buy Payday 2 with his saved up money).

Also judging by the amount of badges you have, I have a feeling the amount of cash you wasted on them coudl've added up to a higher priced game. Even though your "backlog" is such a huge, terrible issue, you could even just save it for when something you want to play actually comes out, but of course the chances of MMD being released on Steam are thankfully very low, so I guess for you blowing cash on the most stupid crap ever is the way to go.
