History

On a freezing night, a young man, would unknowingly find himself in a game-changing situation. This man had joined a server, a surfing server. Nothing out of the ordinary yet. He was grinding his way through a usual night of solitude, but little did he know that this night yielded different results, and that it would change his nocturnal routine for the years to come. The man was going through the motion, bitterly enjoying the mundane feeling that found itself behind every corner he skirted, which he glaringly knew the pattern to. Needless to say, he was quite known in the circle, having drawn and re-drawn the maps with his unceasing glide. On that very night, his friend informs him of a new server that has recently surfaced. He joins. One thing leads to another, and the man starts pondering. He consults his friend about what he has thought: “We should gather the best players in the world and form a group!”, he said with an air of mildly sarcastic enthusiasm. His friend provided the names of 6 members belonging to the highest tier of players and had made a name for themselves. No more than 24 hours later, all 6 members were contacted by the fellow. Lo and behold, they all responded back, and on the same day, they gathered. He was recognized, acknowledged and seen as an equal. They were now 8 members sharing a vision, and a tag. The man, the friend, and the 6 recruits were now part of a group known as Beyond Exception.

They saw themselves banned from servers numerous times, simply for being too proficient at what they did. “Hackers!”, the crowds proclaimed. It had been apparent for them that they have set a new standard of competition, and since then, they’ve done everything to upgrade it and maintain it. Some harbored hate for the clan, others showed admiration. They forged their identity, fame, and reputation, through the display of their skills, their capabilities and their playstyle. They were now an integral part of the surfing community, and they’ve started harvesting players from the exponentially growing community. The group’s body fluctuated, from leaving members, to rejoining members and so forth.
