NEW SERVER ~Red Ink Rakes [AUS]

Well, after years of sporadically dreaming of getting back into this game, I decided to put my money where my mouth is a rent an Australian server through Gameservers.

Right now, it's using a custom config file, featuring three different map rotations:

Full Roster ~ every map with all lighting conditions and all available game modes.
Shootout ~ every map with all lighting conditions, set to permanent TDM.
Co-op ~ 2 player co-op against bots with all lighting conditions.

These can be changed through the in-game console, so if anyone wants a particular mode for a specific day, just let me know and I'll do my best to change it ahead of time for you.

The server is currently it set to a (generous) 300 ping limit at the moment, which should allow people to join from throughout the Asia/Pacific region. Based on feedback, this may also be adjusted in future.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that I consistently lose the connection with the server after a few minutes, which kicks me from the game. My ping seems to be well under the threshold, and the server itself isn't going offline, so I'm thinking this my be something to do with my internet connection specifically. Unless I'm able to rectify the issue within a few days, I'll have to apply for a refund on the server.

So if anyone has any ideas to help me out, and keep this server up, please let me know!

For several weeks now the SAW Lead & Gold Dedicated Server has failed to appear either in the in-game or Steam server browsers during a search. So far we've been unable to explain why this issue has suddenly arose, or found a way to remedy it. After some experimentation I have found that the server is still accessible using a clunky work-around. To access it, follow these steps:

1 ) Open the Steam server browser, and in the FAVOURITES tab hit the ADD A SERVER button, and ever the IP address 103.23.148.125:27015

2 ) Launch Lead & Gold and go to the in-game server browser, then alt-tab back to the Steam server browser and hit the CONNECT button when you have the SAW server selected in your FAVOURITES tab. If you alt-tab back to the game it should be connecting to the server.

NOTE: If you attempt to connect from the Steam server browser without having launched Lead & Gold already, hitting the CONNECT button will only result in launching the game. If you alt-tab and hit CONNECT again, however, it will connect to the server.

Hey all, a number of years ago we had a regular event for games that died out. Want to try again? Anyone interested in a Friday night game? 7pm AUS / 9pm NZ ? I have two people that can turn up for a couple of hours at least.
