Amethyst Oaths is a discussion community.

Every week we hold discussions, not debates (as debates are quite literally arguments, and this is a community), about various topics.

These topics can include religion, politics, social matters, legal matters, philosophy, and any other crap we decide we want to talk about.

This group is for active members.
Do not join this group unless you are going to contribute to discussions. Discussions are not mandatory, but that does not mean that Amethyst Oaths is your trophy group so that you can look clever.

Player of the Week will be awarded to those who really shine in discussions.

Our current time-scheme is based on Englands time, GMT. This does not mean you must be English to join Amethyst Oaths, but it would be a large advantage to be in a similar time zone.

We are not a group for intellectuals and scientists, or arrogant genetic aristocrats.
We are a group of normal, open-minded people, who just like to talk, like people, not robots.
