"As a Combine Military Roleplay server owner myself, I feel obligated to respond. So if I had to answer:
Combine Military Roleplay is a Half Life Two roleplaying schema based out the HL2:RP schema. In Combine Military Roleplay, there are two sides: Combine and Denizens.
Combine forces consist of several detachments and small squads of Overwatch and Metropolitan Police Units, but are more heavily comprised of Conscripts. The Combine (or Universal Union) side focuses more on "mission roleplay", which is heavily influenced from Starship Troopers Roleplay and Military Roleplay. Missions involve event-oriented scenarios.
The Denizens are comprised of people that have escaped the City, and have essentially lost their citizenship in the city for being illegally in the Outlands. Their roleplay is mostly comprised of player to player interactions, but occasionally also have events aswell.

Anyway, to clear up the differences, we ain't using metro-units or OTA....at least not at first or regularly.

We MIGHT have missions, gonna need pointers for those from the few experience people that I may meet.

We have a final idea for the event. Those of you who know it, Jeffy I'm looking at you, do NOT disclose it to anyone. It is to be a surprise. I will be notifying all CURRENT staff of it durin|g construction of necessary Structures and stuff.

To restate; The dev period will be at LEAST, but not limited to, a week after purchase. Three days before official launch I will allow players to apply for Connie (Conscript) apps in order to populate their forces for the Day One Event. As a side note; the launch event is officially known as the Day One Event.

Only CURRENT AND FORMER STAFF who had ADMIN AND UP will be allowed on to help set everything up and help test. We are not going to launch any sooner than a week after purchase, even if we finish early. I never launch sooner than a week.

I will post the announcement containing the expected day of launch late into the dev period, as we have quite a bit to do.

To wrap it all up, one day before official launch I will be training all Conscript Recruits in order for them to RP convincingly during the event. It will take a while, but that's only if we do good. If it takes five minutes, we didn't do good. Along with an IC mission following successful training. (Think the training mission for Half Life: Opposing Force) this will be the most work I've ever put into a server. Any questions can be answered by me via Steam Chat.
