Hello All!

I hope everyone is doing well and having a lovely December! It has been 3 years since our brief NANWL run-it-back attempt, and 4 years since we disbanded the first time (a tremendously sad day for all involved, I know).

I am posting this announcement to gauge interest in attending the official opening event for the new Alpha Release of the Napoleonic Wars mod for Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord. It is called "Sword and Musket" (link at the end of the post) and will be a free mod for the game available via the Steam Workshop. If you're unsure about the quality of the mod or what it's going to be like, don't worry - so are we! We have seen a few videos that they've posted to their discord and it seems promising, hence the announcement here. The date for the alpha event is 9pm EST on January 6th, 2023

A number of individuals have come to me and asked if we are reforming the 41st or making a new regiment / community for the mod, which has prompted me to make this post for our wider community here. I want to state clearly: this regiment will NOT be like the old 41st in terms of highly competitive linebattles or melee training and focus, it would be a casual gathering on the weekends to participate in events, hang out and chat, and be an area for people to play games and hang out. It will of course still have rules, but in terms of ranks and organization be much looser than before.

Even if you're not interested in playing the new mod, if you want to join a discord and link up with all the old regiment people, I would encourage you to join the discord and see if all the old guys are still around or hanging out. 'Tis the season to reconnect with old acquaintances after all!
