Its strengths lie in visually satisfying gore, improvisational weapons, and physics‑driven combat that’s genuinely fun. However, the narrative and missions are forgettable, and the gameplay can grow repetitive. If you’re here for mindlessly brutal zombie slaying and don’t mind a shallow plot, this is a blast. But if you’re after deep storytelling or varied mission structure, it’s less compelling.

If you want a ridiculous, gory, over‑the‑top romp through a zombie‑punching LA, Dead Island 2 delivers dramatically. Just don’t go in expecting a masterpiece of narrative or mission design. Dead Island 2 is way better than the original. Zombie variety is pretty good, and plenty of them for that beautiful F.L.E.S.H system.

At the core of this game is zombie destruction, and Dead Island 2 features both plenty of systems with which to engage in it and plenty of zombies to destroy." Its serviceable story does just enough to move slayers across Los Angeles’ postcard locations at a brisk pace, and I appreciate how much side content is available within them to keep each visit entertaining.

Stuck on connecting to epic online services

you fight the same enemies over and over with no variance. they just become bigger bullet sponges. uninspired, doesnt even take place on an island, somewhat fun in co-op but thats it

Very good zombie-slashing fun!

yo this game fun as hell and the dialogues arent cringy as EA has done for the past couple of years. good weapons, throwables and amazing upgrades for the guns. the skill decks or skill points are really cool and have a lots of variety. the only downside of this game is that you get legendary weapons at the end of the base game. so i would recommend just finish the main story first then then do the side quests and lost and founds quests to really test the legendary weapons cuz they are cool as hell! and of course you get to use them in the DLCs as well if you bought it. i got the game on sale for 32 australian dollars which was a great deal. check this game out guys!
