What have you got? I've been trying to focus my engineer and dev points into just a couple ships to focus my navy around and whatever I'm focused on is not the ship building I get. The game LOVES handing me more dev and engineer stations than I want compared to enrichments to useful ships. I can't for the life of me get enough enrichment in GM. By the time I get a few enrichments, I've got Imperial fleets in my face that 2100-2600 pounts and fielding multiple dreadnoughts to my cruisers. It would be grea...

Is a big design flaw in this game.

So it occurred to me that there is no inherent combat advantage to using smaller ships instead of simply steam-rolling everything with Dreadnoughts. Sure, there is some economic risk-penalty for using expensive fleets (the warheads), but this doesn't seem to be enough -- its not that hard to bankroll expensive fleets. Enter the classic Master of Orion idea: when a ship is firing at a target, the greater the size differential, the greater a penalty is imposed on the attacker. So a tiny corvette should be ...

Dear Devs, Yr game will sell better if you add options to: - switch-off animations ; - "enable phase drives" for all ships, not only small ones. Option to double-speed everything also won't hurt. I would have bought yr DLCs long ago, if I could stand wasting my time on pretty animations....
