Help! I can't get into the tower. What's the star-shaped thing for the keyhole? I beat the star monsters but got nothing from them.

This is something of a request to the dev. I really like this game, but dear god I can't stand the combat. The timing is aggravating and really ruins my enjoyment of fights. Would it be possible to add in an "auto hit" option that always gets a nice or great? I do understand that it would be a major change to the combat, but I can't see myself playing much more of this game without it. Consider it?...
