Just released a patch for the 0.94 CUTSCENE Update

Big loading optimization!

I rewrote more of the game loading code and this patch should decrease load times for both campaign and workshop levels even further than the 0.94 update already did!

this patch fixes the following :

• Game crash and freeze bug at the end of Restaurant
  
• Issues with Player Arm Color not updating
  
• Rewrite to enemy weapon loading to decrease level load times for both campaign and workshop levels!

New game boot-up cutscene! See your character in true action movie form

All-new intro cutscenes for every campaign level! Here's just a snippet of a few!

Update features an overhaul to the loading screens, no more lagging and freezing, and a new badass loading level cutscene!

As well as a new-level end cutscene and a two "death" cutscenes.

These are all still work in progress, these cutscenes took me many long hours to create so I really hope you all grab some popcorn and sit back and enjoy!

Small Patch For Controller Support! And Night Club level optimization!

• Fixed bug where player would freeze if crouched or slide on keyboard with controller plugged in
  
• Fixed bug with controller crouch and slide speed being too fast
  
• Night Club lighting rebaked
  
• Night Club neon lights added to stairs and more lights added around level
  
• Night Club performance and lighting optimization, should result in much higher FPS in all parts of the level
  
• Wall texture UVs fixed in Saloon

Go check it out! Tested to be compatible with Xbox or PS4 and even PS5 controllers!


Rebind any button on the controller to your liking! No pre-made maps every button can be rebound!
Note : Joystick mappings for look and move cannot yet be changed.



Adjustable Aim Assist works great for making gameplay with a controller feel as natural and smooth as possible!
Use the "Terminator" mode to have cyborg levels of auto-aim!



Enable / disable controller rumble and adjust the global dead zone value for your joysticks!


With the added controller support, the game now plays well on the steam deck using the game's controller mapping!

Official Steam Deck verification is still a work in progress,

NOTE the Maximum Action level editor still needs a mouse and keyboard to function properly!

Controller Support and a Unity Engine update is coming soon to Maximum Action!

Try them out on the 0.90 Testing Branch!

Cool features such as controller button rebinding, aim assist, rumble feedback, and more!

Also the entire project has been updated a new version of the Unity Engine for increased support!

To get on the testing branch simply go to Maximum Action in Steam , go to Properties -> Betas, and then select the 0.90_testing branch!

NOTE : Some bugs are still being worked out, sometimes all controller binds show up as "None"
also a bug with kicking has been introduced where the camera rotates behind the player occasionally when kicking

Inspired by the famous warehouse shootout from Hard Boiled

Shoot your way through a dark gritty cargo shipyard and into an underground gun smuggling operation. Fight waves of enemies on motorbikes, and dodge and weave through a warehouse packed with juicy destruction! Cars, boxes, scaffoldings, windows, all for you to destroy!

Find this level on the Good Luck Parking tape!

Heavily inspired by Face Off, take a trip to a luxurious penthouse just in time for it to be raided by the FBI.

Shoot through couches, vases, plants, newspapers, and pillars as you battle your way through waves of enemies in this moody new endless level!

Lots of juicy destruction to be found here! Feathers and papers fill the room in true John Woo fashion!
To unlock this level, find the tape hidden in Mr. Woo's Warehouse

This update also includes an Optimization Pass on the code base for the game as well as many other tweaks to hopefully improve performance!
As Maximum Action gets closer and closer to version 1.0, I want to optimize the game as much as I can! In the next update, I plan to optimize the game and replay system further as well as work on adding controller support as well as other accessibility options!
