why this game are best then fortnite

I'd very much like to be able to listen to something else without the music blaring. Everytime I change a setting and click apply the sound goes away, but only until I die. After I die every setting resets to some sort of default. This is minorly infuriating while trying to listen to anything other than the game music. This seems to happen with almost every setting. The sensitivity seems to be the only thing that saves....

I'm loving this game, trying to beat my best times is proving to be a fun challenge! Thank you so much for making this game, hopefully there will be updates in the near future!
