In SpellForce 3: Versus, you are able to play either Humans, Orcs and Elves - and your faction is randomly chosen for you when you start the game for the first - once an Orc, always an Orc! While fighting against other users of SpellForce 3: Versus, you can also face players from the expansions Fallen God and Soul Harvest - there will be just one big SpellForce 3 player base. SpellForce 3: Versus will have NO microtransactions, NO advertisement or any other common Free-to-play mechanic. You can play Versus absolutely free of charge, only if you want to have access to the singleplayer campaigns from SpellForce 3 and its stand-alone expansions Soul Harvest and Fallen God, you'll have to buy them. The SpellForce 3: Versus Edition gives you the chance to enter the battlefields of Eo for free, letting you test your RTS skills against AI opponents or even other human players.

Skirmish or 1-on-1 Multiplayer
You can choose whether you want to take on AI enemies in a Skirmish battle, or go head-to-head with other human players of SpellForce 3 in both Ranked and Unranked PVP matches. On top of it all you can also check out the single-player scenario ‘Old Haalâyash’ to get a glimpse of what the lavishly created single-player campaigns of SpellForce 3 and its stand-alone expansions have to offer.

Multiplayer Races: Orcs, Humans and Elves
You will be randomly assigned a faction, giving you a chance to try out either playing as Orcs, Humans or Elves.

Each faction has its own strengths and traits, so you’ll need to develop your strategy to make the most of your warriors and workers. And because the faction is randomly assigned every time you play, you’ll have to think fast in order to secure victory.

With our second expansion of SpellForce 3, we will introduce a new campaign, a new faction and many more changes and improvements. Here is a quick overview of what we have in store for you in Spellforce 3: Fallen God!

A New Faction
We are bringing back one of the most unique and interesting factions: the Trolls!
In the future, we will go into more detail about these creatures, their way of living - and fighting. But with their ironbeaks, their unusual way of training units and their different economic playstyle, it's clear they are a force to be reckoned with!

All-New Campaign
During the campaign you will learn all about the Trolls, their struggle to survive against all odds, and their dream of finding their place in the world.

• 20+ hours of new campaign content
  
• New ability trees with all-new abilities, synergies and combos!
  
• Salvaging and crafting of equipment for your tribe and heroes (look out for more about this in a coming blog post).
  
• A character-shaping mechanic that will not only affect your companion's combat abilities, but have an impact on their decision-making and the story

SpellForce 3: Ranked Multiplayer
One of the biggest additions on the multiplayer side is the implementation of Ranked Multiplayer. It will be available to all SpellForce 3 players!

• Fixed "The Avatar" achievement not being triggered correctly

Intoxicated by excessive amounts of alcohol and hypnotized by unholy tunes called “Blasmusik,” the Oktoberfest is said to break even the most virtuous spirits — prompting men and women alike to break into salacious dance and mindlessly roar along to music of questionable taste.

For the sake of morality and all that’s good and holy, Your Queen commands you to foray into Bavaria, seize control of the ceremonial grounds, and put an end to this debauchery. A specialized general from Bavaria with knowledge of native battle tactics shall aid you in your endeavors.

If possible, do return a barrel of “Wiesnbier” to Nortander upon emerging victorious. Or two. For, uhm, research.
