I have crafted the key with three pieces and glue but cant seem to find a way to open the door. What am i missing?

Hello Don't know if it is a bug but I cannot progress in the game further. I currently have both orbs. I used the lever above to enter on the right side. When I try to go out this side it says the door is closed. I can't go out on the left side because in the room with the guitar it says also that the door is closed. I've tried every single lever combination possible to no avail. So close :(...
