I can't load my save. Every time I try to load it, it shows the loading screen for a few moments, then immediately kicks me back to the main menu

Did the people complaining actually play the original game? The combat was terrible in the original, and in this one it looks janky (with hit detection) but passable. The levels look great, the music is atmospheric, and not much is lost by the death screens missing. This is more than compensated for with the added voice acting. Is the dev expected to spend a ton of money animating a death scene some legacy gamer will probably enjoy once then skip every other time? "Remake" doesn't mean exactly the same as ...

Any chance you could also remake Elvira?... Cos that would be awesome ;)
