We're bringing you a small update today along with a survey that will help us move into working on the sequel to Light Bearers.

• Fixed a few typos in the Shadowpedia
  
• Fixed a bug that caused anomaly to appear in nox's place in the Shadowpedia
  
• Adjusted lighting in fallen temple

• Adjusted lighting in black ramparts

During April 2020 we made shadows available to everyone because it felt like we were on the brink of an economic recession. We've kept it that way up until now, moving forward we have reverted back to having a handful of shadows unlocked. However a change we are making is, as long as one player in the lobby has the DLC. It will unlock for all players in the lobby.

Happy Light Bearers Anniversary! 4 Years ago, we launched a game that we were super proud of, but it was missing just a little something. We committed to two solid years of post launch development (The game is dramatically improved over its launch counterpart) working with our community (the ones that talk to us) to bring in awesome features and quality of life changes. After that period of time we then shifted our focus to our new game. we have been working on an update for Light Bearers on and off since that time and are happy to release it to you all now. The focus on this update was optimization but we did include some community request as well.

• Added Direct X 12 support, most of our users should be able to do this but we kept in Direct X 11 for those that cannot. This brings with it some framerate improvements.
  
  
• Added DLSS support for Raytracing compatible cards, this will further improve performance for anyone running the game on the highest settings.
  
  
• Added a framerate cap option, this is a widely asked for feature and we've added it. I don't have a clean way of initializing it so it will say 30 as the first option(this is not the real value), but once you have set it, it will save the proper value.
  
  
• Upgraded to a newer version of the Steam SDK which allows us to fully utilize Steam's infrastructure, for those of you that have played on the Beta branch, you will have seen the huge network performance gained from this.
  
  
• Optimized some of the maps for better performance.
  
  
• Added a custom level option, for when you hide your level.
  
  
• Added a random option for shadow selection
  
  
• Added a new Shadow that was requested from the community, the Anomaly. He was built for competitive players and was a mirror of the shadow bears.
  
  
• We did some minor balancing of the shadows.
  
  
• We also fixed some bugs, but it's been so long I'm not even sure what's real anymore. If you do run into a bug, please let us know on our Discord.
  
  
• I'm sure there are other features I'm forgetting to mention here, but we're excited to have brought you all the performance boost that will come from this update.

Hey everyone, a minor bug fix update!

• Fixed a bug that prevented save files from loading if you had the No Hat cosmetic selected.
  
• Added additional collision in Library.
  
• Fixed a redundancy with the save system.
  
• Fixed double taunting on intro.
  
• Added a better check system for saves.
  
• Re-added the ability to go into a hiding place through walls.
  
• Added a cancel button on password dialog box.
  
• Added Teal Fade Chat color.
  
• Volunteered the top 100 players for community service.

We have a minor content update ready to be consumed :)

A lot of the features/bug fixes that were going to be included with this have been released over the last few minor patches.

In addition to those, here's what is new!

• Added an field of view setting (this only affects bears.)
  
• Added a mutator system to mix up things! (14 mutators, if enabled each round a random mutator will be applied)
  
• Changed how cosmetics are loaded in hopes to avoid the dastardly bright purple bear bug.
  
• Fixed the ghastly body not going through shadow walls.
  
• Fixed dashing not breaking falls.
  
• Fixed a bug where a mysterious bear would slide past the screen in the menu.
  
• Fixed a few typos.
  
• Fixed a bug that i added just to fix.
  
• Started reading a reading for dummies book, it's a tough one.

Hey everyone, another minor patch.

Fixed an issue that was causing new players to not have save files generated (If in the customization screen, it says you're level 999, please delete your save file and restart the game.)
Reworked Fall detection code

Rebuilt Shadowpedia
Fixed legion not being seen by Odin's eye
