It's been a long time since Yet Another Zombie Defense HD got an update, but the since the game has reached a new all-time high player count during the current sale, we've decided it deserves some more love! For now, we've pushed a quick update containing the following changes:


- The game's engine (Unity) has been upgraded two major versions higher (2017 -> 2019). You might notice that, this isn't the latest engine version available, but it was the newest we could use without breaking too much technical stuff under the hood. Still, the upgrade includes two years' worth of engine bug fixes and optimizations.

- Thanks to the feedback from the recent influx of players from China, we've noticed that in the lobby list, the Asian characters weren't displayed correctly. We've just fixed that.

- In some cases, zombies would group up weirdly at the corners of your bases. That should no longer be the case, as they should distribute nicely along the barricade edges from now on.

- In the previous version, the electro barricade was missing the electric wire. We've rewired it, so now it has its wire back!

- We took the opportunity of the new all-time high player count to showcase our new, upcoming game in the main menu. Guess what? It's also about shooting zombies! If you haven't seen it yet, make sure to check it out:

Hi everyone! After 5 years of work, we've finally released the full version of our newest game - the combo-driven rogue-lite action-platformer - Fury Unleashed!

Thanks to the support of our players over the span of the 3 years-long Early Access period, we've managed to improve the game in every way and shape it into something we are proud of. Thanks to that, we are constantly being given positive reviews, both by the industry critics and from our players.

The game was created by combining inspiration from modern roguelite platformers, like Dead Cells and Rogue Legacy, with nostalgic memories of old-school platformer shooters, like Contra and Metal Slug.

Hey guys,

Easter is over and we hope yours was full of great people, fantastic food and tons of dead zombies! We, on the other hand, took the time to bring some serious performance improvements to our game. We’ve pretty much managed to improve the game’s efficiency in every aspect. This means that, depending on your PC specs, you should be able to notice a double or even triple performance boost! And that’s without any loss in quality of course. Killing zombies is now super smooth. Oh, and we also took the opportunity to kill a few bugs here and there too.

Hello everyone and apologies for the long wait! It took us a lot more than we thought it would, but we've finally managed to integrate the game with Steam Workshop and the update adding Workshop support is now available.

This is the first Steam Workshop update, but now that we have the game integrated with Workshop we will be able to add new stuff quickly. Currently it supports adding new playable characters into the game, levels in upcoming days.

The update also enables Razer Chroma support for those who have compatible Razer hardware. If you have any feedback about Chroma animations implemented into the game please let us know!

Hi everyone,
we've just released an update that makes it possible to choose the way that cash is shared in the team. The host can make a choice to allow client players spend cash up to the amount they earned (default option), can also disable buying by all client players as well as remove any limitations entirely.

We've also significantly improved the game's stability and performance in the later nights. We sincerely apologize for frustration those crashes and game drops caused. It looks that the new version shouldn't crash anymore, but in case this happens please let us know and send the crash log to our email contact[at]awesomegamesstudio[dot]com

Steam Trading Cards for Yet Another Zombie Defense HD were just approved by Valve and they are live now! If you have spent enough time in the game you should have received them already.

And by the way - we've investigated the crashes in long multiplayer sessions and it looks that we've found what causes them. The crash logs some of you have sent us were really helpful and we are grateful for them! An update improving game's stability will be released tomorrow and we apologize for having this issue in the first place.

We've just released an update that enables every player in a public game to buy items and build/remove barricades and mount weapons. However, cash spending is limited to how much a given player has earned during the night and is displayed during the day in parentheses next to team's cash. This limitation doesn't apply to the game's host, he or she can spend all cash that has been collected by all players.

We've also added option for the host to ban people from their game. This option can be accessed from the pause menu.

We also have a status update on Trading Cards - the game is now eligible to have them and as soon they reviewed by Valve everyone will receive them retroactively - if you've already spent enough time in the game to receive the Trading Cards, you'll get them once they are approved by Valve.
