i haven't played Naev in quite a while, last time I played it worked fine. I'm using the same PC, but now when I start the game and try to do tutorial I can't see my ship on the screen. Hey, I switched to Story difficulty so I didn't have to stress so much on the ship fights. It's mostly turned out well, with the bonuses making is much easier to play around with builds and otherwise experiment. But now there's a weird disconnect between what a ship can do when -I'm- flying it vs someone else where fights I definitely would have won (or at least had time to bail from) result in my escorts dying in the span of a couple seconds. i have had it unlocked randomly during one game, but i did not understand what the actual conditions were for it to happen... and also how to raise the capacity? during said game, i started with 100, and then randomly went up to 150... absolutely no clue, and let's be frank, but there's actually no info either from the devs or from whatever way-outdated wiki there is.......

i'm pretty sure that in any other game, hitting the command to board a disabled ship would do exactly that, but somehow in this game alone, boarding = land at the nearest planet instead...

if i install these in a compatible ship, do i still need to purchase/capture named fighter ship etc? ie if it's a hyena bay (supporting 2), would i need to obtain 2 hyenas as well?
