Fairly small update, with just changes to the very-cool Sidekicks mod. As I've mentioned a few times, it's by one of the main developers of the game, and at this point rivals the size of a DLC -- for free. So if you haven't given it a try, and are interested in some morecontent, it's really worth a look.

Are attack and defense the only upgradable stats through technology?

Going through some descriptions definitely made me a bit confused, because I felt like it wasn't descriptive enough, or mentioned some economical terms thus making me feel confused. So tell it to me straight.

Strongest faction canonically

What is the strongest faction in the AI War universe? I get that in gameplay it can vary but I mean within the lore so let's say they are equal intensity (level 10). Is the AI the strongest? Or the Spire since that leads to a guaranteed victory situation. If the AI dedicated everything it had, and not just the small forces we see and fight in game, would it beat Spire/zenith/nanocaust, etc? And it if it does, would it beat a combined nanocaust/spire/zenith/dark spire/humanity/all other factions?...

If you haven't tried the Sidekicks mod, it's really worth a go. It's by one of the main developers of the game itself, so as far as mods go... well, it's practically like a fourth expansion, but for free. I take no credit for any of that, it's all Badger and what he's wanted for his own multiplayer sessions.

I'm very new to the game. The concept really interested me a lot, so I finally decided to give the tutorials a try. I'm in the 3rd tutorial now, but I couldn't help but notice that what the humanity resistance employing to combat against the AI overlord is potentially just another AI system. A fleet that is empty?

I've recently rescued an officer fleet but I figured out that it has no ships inside. Might sound stupid, but is there a way to generate more ships from somewhere to put into this new ship without having to sacrifice the "available slots" of other transports?...
