I have gotten on relatively well with the game having the assist set to 50% respectively and 160% counter steering (which I believe was the default), playing mostly with a controller. So far I could find at least 2 or 3 cars per category that I felt comfortable and was successful enough for my standards. But for the life of me I just cannot find a car in Group B where I feel like I am even remotely in control. I am considering returning to the game but Australia dlc looks too expensive at the moment.

I recently switched from automatic transmission to manual, and I noticed a big climb in the leaderboards. With automatic shifting I confidently got into the 10% - 30% range of most tracks, but with manual shifting I now come closer to 3% - 10% on many stages. Since I still think I am a filthy casual when it comes to Art of Rally, I cannot fathom that my times improve THAT much just with manual gear shifting. Therefore I'd like to know if this is a thing or if manual gear shifts are indeed much faster tha...

I got this from epic when it was free and then I started to enjoying playing it. I would like to know if I could buy the australia dlc from steam and make it work. I already added the game to steam library for booting it up. You know the one where you can't access steam achievements and but can access it directly from library....
