after defeating hanako from 10 years in the future in the mission summons the panel mission its corrupted and i dont have new missions ......how i can advance?

Decided to give this franchise a shot (as someone who really enjoys srpgs and tactics games) and gotta say im struggling a bit already halfway into Episode 2. It feels like my dudes' stats, mostly the side characters, are significantly lower than the enemies' leading to one-shots if im not careful. Any tips would be very appreciated!...

Without giving _too much_ away, roughly what should I be doing after having the credits roll for the first time? I find Axel boring as both a playable character and as a storyline and I want to just get back to Adell mode. Is the game at this point just an endless loop of Adell or Axel playthroughs, and I just need to not complete the campaign on the character I want to keep playing as?...

Is it possible to know an item's rough "level". i.e. if I have two axes I've never used before with different citizens inhabiting them, which base axe is better. Do I just need to learn the core stats for item types plus the effects of citizens? Also, what affects the strength of enemies in the item world - better quality items have stronger enemies at item level 0 - do they get stronger with item quality, or do they scale with the player party?...
