We're Snap Finger Click, a small independent team of party game developers. We’ve
previously worked with Ubisoft on Family Feud® and Trivial Pursuit Live! 2, and we
took over the development of UNO™ earlier this year. We’ve already delivered the UNO
Party! Mania™ DLC to you, a Twitch Extension, a Happy Hour feature to give you free
access to the game’s DLC, bug fixes ❤️‍🔥, and more.

When we started on the game, one of the first things we did was to carefully look at
the existing reviews and other areas where you, as a player, leave feedback (hello
Reddit 👋). We’re looking into some of the most frequently-mentioned topics you’d like
to see addressed, and what features you’d like to see. A common point of feedback has
been about the online multiplayer mode of the game. We’re pleased to say that, with
this new update, your online multiplayer experience should be significantly smoother
(more on this below).

We know UNO™ is hugely popular on Twitch, so for all you streamers we’ve added a
new dedicated Twitch mode. The Chat Chaos mode is a different way to experience
Twitch interactive features in UNO™, using the chat for viewers to type in commands.
In this mode, the game reads in the text from the viewer chat. Viewers are invited to
vote on different disruptions that their host will have to face. Will they vote to flip the
host's hand of cards around? Will they ban red cards from play? Or our personal
favourite, Twitch Plays UNO™ where the viewers take over the game! And of course,
you can also ask your favourite Twitch streamer to check out this mode and see how
you can bring chaos to their game. The Twitch Chat Chaos mode is in addition to the
UNO™ Twitch Extension that was launched earlier this year.

With the holiday season in full swing, we thought it would be nice to give players a
special bonus. You’ll notice two brand new card decks: Winter Flora and Winter
Solstice. We’ve also added some festive avatar frames: the lively Winter Fun, and the
super cute Hotspring Hideaway. And what’s more, we’ve composed a retro holiday
soundtrack, “Deck the Halls with Synths”. This music harks back to the golden era of
classic 80s winter hits and is sure to give you a nostalgic holiday season! You can
unlock all the new themed content for free by playing UNO™.

As with every UNO™ update, we also bring you bug fixes, polish, and general
improvements to give you a smoother UNO™ experience. We’re always listening to
your feedback and suggestions, and making improvements to UNO™ is an ongoing
area of focus for us, so if you find an issue with the game, please get in touch with
Ubisoft Support[www.ubisoft.com] and provide them with as much detail as possible.

We have an exciting 2025 ahead of us for UNO™, but in the meantime, we’d love for
you to check out this new update!



• Bugs related to the syncing between players have been fixed.
• The game now auto-starts when the lobby is full.
• Updates have been made to the matchmaking algorithm to prioritise joining games
with 1 or 2 players.
• We've increased the 'thinking time' during an online game to allow for Twitch voting.
• Online games can now be started without any human opponents in the lobby.


• In Chat Chaos you can link UNO™ with your Twitch account to play a special game
mode with Twitch viewers. Viewers can vote via the Twitch chat for different
disruptions to inflict upon their host.


• 2 new free card decks: Winter Flora and Winter Solstice
• 2 new free avatar frames: Winter Fun and Hotspring Hideaway
• 1 new free soundtrack: Deck the Halls with Synths


This new update also brings you other bug fixes, below are a few of the highlights:

● Fixed bugs that could cause the game to crash.
● Fixed bugs that could impact online gameplay.
● Fixed an issue where the game could crash if a player would quit a match after
playing the skip card in local play.
● Fixed an issue where the game could get stuck in online multiplayer if a player
would leave the sessions after playing the Point Taken Card.
● Fixed an issue reported by players where two sound effects would play after
selecting an avatar.
● Fixed overlapping issues that could occur in the multiplayer game lobby.
● Fixed an issue where the "Shout, let it out loud" Ubisoft Connect Challenge
would not get updated, even after completing the required criteria.
● Players reported that no music was playing during the game credits anymore.
This has now been resolved.
● Fixed an issue where tutorial text could overlap the design in Add-Ons matches.
● Fixed an issue where the game could get stuck on the loading page when
accessing the Ubisoft Connect overlay in offline mode.
● Fixed an issue in the online multiplayer mode where the host would sometimes
receive a Connection Time-Out error after starting an online session with a full
lobby, whilst playing DLC.
● UNO Party! Mania™ DLC: Fixed an issue where the game could get stuck after
playing the Wild Pile Up card in an online session.
● UNO The Call of Yara™ DLC: Fixed an issue where the game could crash when a
player plays a card while Philly Barzaga's service is called.
● UNO Rayman Theme™ DLC: Fixed an issue where the pile could get corrupted,
this would happen if one of the players would hide their cards after using
"Escape" and then gets served with a Draw +2 card.

Updating the installer process

Dear Players,

Many players have been experiencing crash issues while trying to play UNO online with Bit Defender anti-virus. We have identified the issue and are working with the Bit Defender team to fix it. This fix should be available before the end of March via an updated of BitDefender software. In the meantime, players can create an exception for UNO in the Active Threat Control by following directions at the link below. We will provide another update when the software update is available. This includes both Free and Paid versions of Bitdefender 2017.

Hello UNO players!

We are sorry hearing that some of our players have issues with playing UNO on PC. The dev. team is currently investigating and fixing the issues our players have reported to us. In the meantime, you can find more information on the most know issues below and how to prevent them.
If you have encountered any issues yourself, please let us know by reporting them to our support team:


1. Game crashes when creating or joining online match:
Please disable any anti-virus software and re-launch the game. We have found Bit Defender anti-virus causes a crash every time, please disable or if necessary, uninstall your anti-virus software if you are experiencing this crash. This issue may also be resolved by uninstalling and re-installing the game. If the issue is not resolved by these steps, please contact UNO Support at [email protected]


2. Start Match Button Disappears when player joins/3. Friends can’t connect to match/4. No Network Message when trying to get Online:
This is caused by a player not connecting with the host properly (Usually due to NAT setting). You can modify your Router settings to create an Open NAT setup. More information on how to do this is on the UNO Support site.


5. Winter Theme doesn’t appear in store or can’t be loaded in game:
The Winter Theme isn’t published correctly on Uplay, we are trying to fix this ASAP. If players are encountering this on the Steam version, please contact UNO Support at [email protected]


6. Game crashes or hangs on disconnect:
Since UNO is a P2P multiplayer design, it takes some time for a Host to transition to a new player. If this happens, it will take about 30 seconds to transition to the new host. This will appear that the game
