As you might already have been noticing Pavilion is currently 30% OFF until the end of the week. So if you haven't bought it yet or you want to recommend it to a friend or such, now is the time!

We've also put a big update with localization - French, Italian, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese - so now you can change access the language menu from the options in the main menu. Except for the localization, there's also a bunch of bug fixes and improvements as usually.

Hi there, a new update from the snow-clad Visiontrick HQ has now been published.

This has been long overdue, but the mouse controls are finally here! Just head into the options meny and toggle it on(you can now choose between 3 options - gamepad/keyboard - mouse - Tobii Eyetracker).

Since it has not been tested to the extents of the gamepad/keyboard version, we appreciate that if you play the game with mouse controls do please get back to us with any information about bugs or strange behavior, or any thoughts of improvements.

A while back we also put in some extras in the game folder but did not write about it here. So located in the game folder, you'll find it through right clicking on the game in the Steam library list -> PROPERTIES -> LOCAL FILES -> BROWES LOCAL FILES. There you will find a Extras folder including:

• "The Early and Unseen Art of PAVILION" PDF.
  
• High-definition wallpapers.
  
• Sample song of Tony Gerbers Soundtrack.

There's also a bunch of bug fixes as well as an updated version of the Tobii EyeX firmware(2.0) working with the newly released 4C hardware.

As we have mentioned before we’ve teamed up with fellow Swedish company Tobii in order to deliver a version of Pavilion that, with the help of the Tobii EyeX Eye-Tracker device, you can play with your eyes as the only input!

It’s a completely different way to play the game – requiring neither gamepad or keyboard you move around the world by gazing at the direction you want the camera to move, interacting by focusing your gaze on a specific object you want to engage with. It is frankly hard to make it justice by words only and even if you grasp the fundamental way of interacting, when you’re actually there, playing the game with only your gaze it’s a completely different experience that borders on the unreal.

It's now been a week since the release and we're now working hard on a couple of things that's been requested by multiple people.

The two major feedback points we've gotten is the lack of mouse-controls as well as options. Reason for lack of mouse-controls explained in the following post: http://steamproxy.com/id/workshophatemachine/recommended/417150/

Unfortunately neither is in this update, but we assure you that we're working on it for the next version.

As for this update , v1.12, the following things have been updated:

• Added WASD to keyboard controls.
  
• Added start button binding for gamepads.
  
• Default quality setting is now set as "fantastic"(fixing low-res menu and v-sync problems).
  
• Fixed apartment #2 fade bug.
  
• Fixed wrong z-depth on "upper" tiles in last puzzle of left mansion.
  
• Fixed "push through fence" bug on underground push #2.
  
• Puzzle timing tweaks on #1 puzzle on train station and #3 puzzle on garden.
  
• Added Nordic Game Program and Unity3D logos in credits.

Of course we had to mess up something for the release. Apparently we didn't submit the game for review by Valve in time so here we are waiting for the game to pass the review. We're sorry for the inconvenience but all we can do at the moment is to wait.

In the mean time we have some new videos about the development of Pavilion so why don't we dig into the history of Pavilion for a bit and we'll keep you updated on the latest regarding the actual release.

As it’s only a couple of days left until the release of Pavilion we thought we wanted to shed some more light on the music of the game. Every since we showcased Pavilion for the first time the reception of the music have been great and people seems to appreciate how the ambient tunes encourage you to plunge into the world and puzzles of Pavilion in a kind of meditative state.

With that said here’s some words from the musician – Tony Gerber – and a video showcasing some of the music together with a couple of dreamlike landscapes from the game itself.

“The Pavilion project came to me in perhaps the perfect way. Visiontrick Media’s had been using my music as their listening backdrop during the initial creation of the game’s amazing art and programming. When it came time for them to start thinking about the game’s actual music, they could think of only my music. For this reason, the game and soundtrack are entwined in a unique way.

The soundtrack includes a variety from my musical catalog as well as some new themes and textures. A full length recording of the music of Pavilion is available September 22nd as a high quality file download via Steam and other outlets. A physical CD version will be available too.”

As it often does, the planned schedule goes out the window and you start chasing the shadow of a new possible release date. We did this for a long time, pushing the date of the release further and further up ahead. Going through that last door towards release just to discover… another door.

Especially the past year, trying to nail down the release date, has been grueling. We probably had a hundred reasons to give up and just call it quits. But thanks to the support of friends and family together with our own stubbornness and the conviction that Pavilion could bring something unique, we stuck with it and followed it through. Now we are standing in a doorway and there are no more doors.

So Chapter 1 of Pavilion will be out September 22nd here on STEAM. So please share this with your friends and people who might be interested in Pavilion and you'll have our deepest gratitude!
