DotEMU did a AWFUL port here. There are slowdowns that don't happen on real hardware or MAME. The sound is atroscious. I have a Ryzen 5 7600X and this port is chugging while Last Of Us 2 flys. The sound isn't emulated properly most noteable with in-game music, but the sound effects suffer too.

The Menus look more slapdash than a first time uploaders game on Newgrounds. I'm not joking. The text is blurry and not inline with the theme of the game. Options and customizability are awful. SNK are partly to blame for giving the licence to Dotemu where as on the Playstation 3, the excellent M2 had the licence. Dotemu doesn't even list this trash on their site as a accomplishment. SNK should revoke the licence for this, give it and the Steam listings for these over to M2 and have them do another port. DotEMUs Trutles game rules, this Metal Slug port is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
