I don't think KOEI realizes that for many years until they started releasing NA titles on steam, Iron Triangle was the latest and most favored NA in America. So many people who live in America and are actively into NA games prefer Iron Triangle to RTP, (myself included) those were pretty much the only two choices we had anyway.
