Most derivative game ever made, and I say that as a compliment. It was fun, and it is possible to enjoy without associating with all the gooners here if you are normal and don't think games like this are "Saving gaming" or other nonsense lol.

I mean, Eve is hot sure...but there's a fantastic game behind that and people shouldn't focus solely on that aspect, it's a disservice to not talk about the game itself. You should definitely play this if you like to immerse yourself in a fantastic post apocalyptic world and explore every nook and cranny. Has great music, amazing level design and visuals, great combat, a bit monotonous at first but it gets better the more abilities you unlock. Definitely can see why it was game of the year for so many people

This game is just awesome and kinda ticked all the right boxes for me.

• Top-notch visuals, especially the environmental design

• Smooth and snappy combat. The closest comparison I would have is Sekiro but without the things I hated about Sekiro's combat. The boss encounters were all fun to learn rather than frustrating. Especially the last boss gauntlet is fantastic both in presentation and gameplay.
  
• Obviously the world and story takes heavy inspiration from Nier: Automata but it was solid and unique in it's own way. It did feel like they cut some things out though but still left hints of it within many side missions and some of the main story.
  
• Lots of replayability with NG+ exclusive abilities and costumes you can acquire as well as new enemy placements

• Strange difficulty/balancing. I started the game on Hard Mode. After spending 20 hours getting one-shot and hitting like a wet noodle I found out that Hard Mode was balanced around NG+. They only recently added the option to start a new game on Hard Mode. So I switched to Normal and suddenly the game became way too easy besides the last couple bosses. And once you get to NG+ your character is nearly maxed out and so strong that it's not really much of a challenge anymore... which isn't necessarily a problem because you do want to feel strong in NG+ with all your upgrades and your experience/knowledge from the previous playthrough. I just feel like they missed an opportunity to implement a "regular" Hard mode for your first playthrough that doesn't feel like some kind of masochistic challenge run.

To cap it off I very much recommend this game. Oh, and the girls are pretty, that's a nice bonus too!
