Workshop Support

This public beta has support for the Steam Workshop, you can upload mods by clicking "Upload" in the mod info screen, and upload worlds by dragging them onto the upload button in the world browser menu.

Total Miner Version 2.10.8.1613 is now live and available for download as the retail version of the game.
This means you should opt out of any betas you are in, if any, to update to this latest version.

Thousands of bugs have been squashed and dozens of features implemented since the last retail release several years ago, and we felt that the current state of the game now should replace the old.

A regular update schedule being established to get updates out ever 2-4 weeks both on retail and beta. The idea behind this approach is to have content tested and published within a consistent schedule, even if the update isn't big or a new feature.

A patch for the public beta has been issued.

This patch includes the following fixes:

• Fixed stuck on "Creating Online Session..." issue.
  
• Fixed new worlds not creating any save data in the worlds folder.

These bugs primarily affected new/fresh players.

Expect another major public beta update this coming week with significant improvements.

This update is largely aimed at fixing and improving multiplayer hosting & joining stability & consistency, along with blueprint & wisdom scroll generation fixes and general quality of life improvements.

Our latest update for the Multiplayer Public Beta is now live.

This version is fully multiplayer capable and very close to what we will be releasing as the full public retail Total Miner 3.0 release.

So jump in, take a look, and join in the worlds of fun. If there aren't any to join, start one, and hopefully others will join ;)

There are hundreds of changes and fixes in new this version. Mostly around multiplayer and networking, and porting the remaining old screens to the new interface. There are also a lot of QOL improvements.

And here are a few notable additions:

• Player Stamina.
  
• New Mod Management tab.
  
• New World Preview tab.
  
• Mouse Look At fixes.
  
• New Dig Deep Nexus Tower.
  
• New Spider.

We've also added in some frame based animation for the naturally spawning NPCs, just for some fun. This is not our final animation, but it is good for the interim.

We are still having problems with Dig Deep blueprints, so we'd advise not to play Dig Deep on this version. It will be fixed before the full 3.0 release.

Hi All

We want to let you know we are almost there. Progress over the last 3 months has been solid. And we intend more of the same until 3.0 released.

It appears all the heavy lifting for multi-player has been completed. A networking architecture for the game, an interface to Steam networking, and replacing all the legacy Xbox Live networking code where necessary.

We have also completed most of the work to ensure all of TM's game play works well with multi-player. But there is still a number of smaller details that need to be fixed or redone.

We have also completed a lot of the general PC port work that was not finished on the current version.

Hi All

Development of the game did stop in 2020, and this pause lasted about a year.

Since then, for the last few months, a couple of TM devs have been quietly chipping away at multi-player, and it is now working well.

So we think now is the right time to announce the upcoming release of Total Miner 3.0.

This is the multi-player release.

There is still some work to do to make it ready for release, and we are working on that as much as we can.

We are not able to give a reasonable estimate for the release date yet, but we think we will be in a position to do that soon.

There are also a bunch of quality of life improvements included in the release. These will be detailed closer to actual release.

Total Miner's development which has been on hiatus since March of 2019, will now be resuming. Our long awaited multiplayer update is expected to release spring 2020.

Upcoming update priorities:

• MonoGame port
  
• Multiplayer networking code
  
• Correcting mouse control stability

General bug fixes and tweaks are expected as well, but the above will likely be the major items you can expect.

We apologize for the lack of communication over the past year, and will be doing our very best to stay transparent and open with the community. We are thankful for the tremendous support everyone has given TM over the years.
