I'm thinking of buying this game, does it allow keyboard rebinding? If not, what are the default keys and is the mouse used?

I just don't seem to understand what you're supposed to do in this room. Since there are little explosion marks near the valves I tried placing and using C4 there with different orders but nothing seems to happen. What am I missing? http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=400433072 Edit: I figured it out (or at least one way to do it) but don't find the solution to be particularly great. It would work better if the game paused even slightly when switching between weapons....
