Followed since 2022, about time I put down my two cents.

Overall, a very solid action platformer with a good flow and a compelling story, highly replayable at that.

Its gameplay is pretty well done, with the stages clearly made with both characters in mind, and said characters have well designed mechanics that allow them to stand out clearly from one another. The general style and visuals are outstanding and are complemented by the great soundtrack. The plot takes a surprisingly good spin, and though I won't go into detail for obvious reasons, I would say it's very compelling on both characters' ends.

On top of everything it gets right, the game also has great replay value; its length is to where you can easily sit down, have a quick go, and come back for more later. However, as much as I adore that quality in particular, I think it's somewhat of a double-edged sword. For something that can be finished within an hour, the game tells a relatively deep story. The short length leaves very little room to tell a story of this scale, and so it goes by very quickly. This is particularly noticeable with Hazel's arc.

On a more minor note, Axel's kick combo has overly long cooldown, which hampers the feel of his gameplay. I also cannot seem to map the triggers on my controller to the input.

That aside, what CODE Bunny does get right, is very good, and I would recommend it to someone looking for a short-and-sweet platformer that they can easily come back to. It's reasonably priced at that.
