Hi, I'm looking for a game to play with friends in other time zones, so chess-like mechanics where we can take a turn, quit game, friend takes turn, quits game etc. Does this game do this? And what modes can people play using this mechanic? Ideally some sort of co-op, progression? Story? I appreciate that this is years after the game was released, but I'm hoping someone will be able to provide a mop-up version after all patches etc. have been applied over the years, Or if someone can point me to a Wiki...

I havent played for a while, about 2 years. The game has changed a lot, but what I've seen is that there are less players playing. No live games or people joining in battles. So, did it die?
