This feels like a demo, not a finished game. Automation missing a lot on logic, side stations can be upgraded once or not at all. Finishing last quest to get a "super loco engine" leaves you with a "Victory" screen. Was nice to play, but it left me with a feeling of being cut off and blocked at the very beginning of what could be a good game.

"Okay, let's try it very carefully and slowly again. Let's plan everything"

I really like the game. Even though I make a lot of mistakes, yell at the trains when they go the wrong way, and occasionally lose a few trains because of my chaotic playstyle — everything that goes wrong is ultimately my own fault.

One thing I don’t like is that the core mechanic of raising islands hasn’t been implemented yet. But one of the developers already mentioned that it’ll be reintroduced in the future, since the current version wasn’t working as intended. I’m looking forward to that. Honestly, I prefer removing a broken mechanic and fixing it properly, rather than keeping it in and hurting the game’s overall quality. So I totally understand that decision.

All in all, for the price, you get a neat little management game with trains. I’m excited to try different playstyles and explore more of the gameplay options it has to offer.

After getting the town to level 7 and completing the game, I have some tips to help others. My first game was a mess and I wanted to start over after upgrading the town once. My second game went a lot better, but after getting the town to level 5, I wasn't able to deliver enough items for the next upgrade. However, I learned from my mistakes in this one and completed the game in my third attempt.

Tip 1: Locate the town near the center of the island. This way it acts as the center of a hub with the tracks as the spokes. My second game the town was near the coast and there wasn't enough room to expand.

Tip 2: When you can add a second station in town, keep it separate from the first one. This way you don't have all your trains going to both stations. In game two all my trains went to both stations and in game three I kept them separate. It made all the different in being able to deliver enough goods to upgrade to level 6.

Tip 3: Keep the Depo separate from the main railway. This makes it easier to add or change trains when needed. And make sure you have enough clear space to create a straight length of track. This is needed to add cars to the trains.
Tip 3a: You can have more than one Depo. It was a while into playing before I thought about this.

Tip 4: Create a loop so your trains travel in one direction on any given track. And add extra tracks wherever lots of trains will travel. There were many times that I had to clear up a jam because the loop was too short.

Tip 5: The Warehouse helps to connect different areas of the island. In my third game the cloth and tools for furniture would have been difficult for trains to deliver the full distance. So I created a small area where the furniture was created. The cloth was far away and a fast train with lots of cars kept the warehouse full. This was also when I added a second Depo, it was easier then trying to bring new trains from the first Depo. This way it truly was a second area with no tracks connected to the town.

Tip 6: The Hammer can be used to destroy anything, and everything, you have built, so use it, but wisely. There is no Undo button.

There is more to this game, and I hope you are able to get as much enjoyment from it as I did. And that these few tips help to keep your frustration level down. Most of my frustrations were mistakes on my part, but were because I didn't understand some aspect of the game. Anyway, have fun and be willing to learn and try different ways of doing things. And, one last things, it's okay to slow down and just enjoy that you get to make your own train system.
