Game still has a good ways to go but it has lots of magical moments and mystery for old-timey MMO folks to enjoy, getting lost and figuring things out is a blast and has been sorely missed in the MMO world for a long long time.

I'm bought the Steam account today and as a VIP on Pantheon, found it very easy to log in. The Steam account
just took me right it, no launcher, ID or password needed, and it seemed very smooth.

Because I've been in Pantheon's world, Terminus before, as a tester, I was pretty familiar with it.
There's currently 6 zones, content up to level 40 for each of the classes in game. I believe there are 12 of the total
of 15 planned, with Bard and Druid the notable ones "missing".

The main reason these are "missing" is because Pantheon is a game still under development. This is Early Access, almost like a beta. It's been in development for a long time, but over the last two years the progress has been impressive. EA is going to last awhile before release too, they expect it to last two years, so you'll actually have an opportunity to help shape the game, They've been awesome in the past responding to the tester's suggestions and requests. Customers service has been great, cant't recommend them enough! The updates come very regularly, often multiple times a week,and that makes it a little difficult to define the status of the game, as it changes rapidly but fortunately the changes are nearly always positive improvements.

My main is a Monk and I have found the animations, while still in development, are pretty good. I truly like the terrain graphics but have found the character models and the fairly new character creator/customizer to be of much lower quality. VR knows this and are even working on that now, So I'm hopeful for both gradual and meaningful improvement.

Server stability (I'm on Havensong) is really solid. I have heard they rebooted it yesterday and it was down for 15 minutes, but there's been no issue at all today, no reboot, or crashes, or even lag/latency. I use a 3080 as my GPU, getting 60 FPS, with a pingof 23, so that's solid too.

My current complaints are the character graphics, I don't love them but got used to them almost immediately, I don't like some of the newbie armor but have seen some higher level players with great looking stuff, and have a good deal of jealousy.

I joined a really fine guild, and know that they have some decent guild commands in game, but have also heard that guild are getting more attention this month and next.

Banking works very well, and I've been to two them so far: one in the human starter town of Availia, and one in the village of Demith. There's plenty of space (like 50 slots)and you can craft backpacks and bank boxes early on, and put them in the slots for a huge amount of storage, which is always good. I became a Tailor/Leatherworker and am loving the crafting so far.
I made a second character...I think you get 8 but it's possible you get more...and he's a Shaman, Provisioner for food and drink, and a woodcutter. Crafting nodes are everywhere. And so are the mobs :)

All in all I think this is a really good game, it seems that VR decided to implement most of the gaming systems like climbing and now swimming, first, before doing a lot of the pretty stuff...(make it work first, make it pretty second) and while they are still working on the Perception (aka Pulse) and Mastery systems, they had them in game before and are now just iteratively improving them.

I can honestly recommend this game to anyone who likes an old school MMO, but with modern features. We desperately needed one! The combat pace will seem slow to POE fans, but I think most people will be happy with the pace of combat...it feels meaningful, and the casting effects are extremely well done.

TLDR: So far, a tentative thumbs up.

I will update this review as I get more and more experience in the game, at 10 hours, 100 hours, and potentially 1000 should it hold my interest as long as I feel it will.

Instead of a pro/cons setup for this title, I will assume most players are coming from older MMOs and will present my review in an FAQ/Q+A style report to help expedite information gathering.

For anyone who reads this in the interim while I work out the script for this lengthy review: Have a great day. It's Early access, and it's apparent... But the bones? The bones give me hope. Enough that I will unashamedly play to the end.
