Good storyline. I think the female actresses in this game are more beautiful than the original game. My favorite is Xiao Qingqing, but unfortunately, all the endings in the full version with all of them breaking up, which is understandable since this is the prequel to the main game. Hopefully, we'll see Xiao Qingqing again in the future with a happier ending.

Chapter 5 hits in the feels, they should really produce more interactive movies that cash in on that aspect.

This being a prequel makes the story rather uninteresting for me, as we know where Gu Yi ends up and not much matches what we know about his past from "Love is all around".

First the good:
The acting is (again) top notch. The interactions are mostly believable, sometimes over the top and rarely even absurd.
Gu Yi as a protagonist is a lot more believable than in the first game.
The developers provided lots of options to speed the game along and they are unlocked from the start, which is simply great for completionists.
The English translation is servicable, you always know what your choices will do.

The negatives:
Gu Yi as a protagonist is a lot more believable. He isn't the incompetent, limp-wristed, sometimes dickish oaf from the first game. This makes the game itself a lot less entertaining.

Whereas "Love is all around" is an absurdist masterpiece, this is a sincere dating sim - just like any other.
