We’ve just released a hotfix for the latest patch, which includes bug fixes and gameplay improvements.

Content

• Added new languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese.
  
• Added new upgrades when leveling up: Health restoration and recoil reduction — so you can fight enemies longer and spend less time flying in space!
  
• Added new tips on the loading screen. To make waiting time more useful.
  
• Changed the texture of the grape shot gun.
  
• Changed the model of 94KM. A new shape so that bugs not only fear it but also admire it!

Sounds

• Fixed the sound when hitting a den with a grape shot gun.
  
• Fixed a bug with the playback of folding support sounds.

Optimization

• Improved Alt+Tab switching. So you can easily return to the game after a quick break.
  
• Added cursor limitations for the application window.
  
• Removed the ability to install lightweight chassis and anti-grav on small vehicles. To avoid starting another apocalypse.

Interface

• Added tilt angle for the third-person camera.
  
• Added tips for switching cameras and headlights. So even the most lost travelers can find their way.
  
• Added a button to reset player markers. If something goes wrong, just hit “Remove all markers” and start over!

Texts

• Fixed localization errors.
  
• Improved tutorial tips. Helping newcomers to get comfortable!

Balance

• Changed the intensity of enemy wave appearances. So you always have something to do.
  
• The difficulty of waves in the sands has been slightly increased.
  
• The health of dens and major enemies has been increased. For a greater challenge in combat!
  
• Changed starting characteristics of suspension.
  
• Partially fixed the logic for generating high-quality loot stats.

Map

• The riverbed has become smoother. So your adventures don’t end on the rocks!
  
• The rural road bend now has a natural color.

Fixes

• Changed the color of loot boxes at the airfield. We hope you’ll notice them easily!
  
• Fixed a bug with the spawning of bugs from dens. Fewer surprises for those who prefer certainty.
  
• Fixed a bug where elements attached to joints would fall off during respawn.
  
• Water can be shot through (if a bug was standing in the water, the water protected it).
  
• Armor no longer blocks headlights. So you can shine even in the darkest corners.
  
• Fixed a bug with flying into space when receiving friction bonuses. Sometimes it’s better to stay on the ground.
  
• Fixed a bug with incorrect health display at the start of a race.
  
• Folding supports now do not reduce armor if not added during activation.
  
• Removed collision for dead monsters. Now they won’t hinder you from reaching your goals!
  
• Adjusted mob spawn distance.
  
• Adjusted the detection distance of players by mobs.
  
• Fixed the calculation of the dead bug collider position.
  
• Removed fire from under the wheels when driving through water. Time to leave fiery trails only in your memories.
  
• Reduced the intensity of dawn and dusk. Now they remind you of warm summer days rather than a nuclear explosion.

Hello, survivors!

It's time to arm your vehicles because we've prepared a major patch that significantly changes your experience in Ashes of the Union! We aimed to enhance the game by adding day and night cycles, a third-person view, and many other visual improvements!


Day and Night Cycle
When you head out for a ride, you can enjoy sunrises, watch sunsets, and even get lost in the dark night. But be careful—night hides more dangers than it seems!

Headlights
We've added headlights and taillights—turn them on using "L" so you don’t get lost in the dark or crash into a building that suddenly appears in your path! On controllers, the headlights turn on automatically as night creeps up on you.

Third-Person Camera
The new camera lets you dive deeper into the world, viewing everything from various angles. Now you can admire your vehicle in action and enjoy the atmosphere of the surrounding environment!

Improved appearance of toxic clouds
The thick, enveloping, eerie, and, of course, very dangerous toxic clouds will now stalk you in the most inconvenient places. With this update, they look even more airy and transparent.

Mud Under Tires
Why isn’t your car returning to the garage? Because nobody wants to clean the mud off the tires! Haha, just kidding! But now the game features actual mud that flies out from under your tires on rough terrain.

Tutorial
For new players (and perhaps seasoned ones), we’ve revamped the tutorial at the start of the game to help better grasp the basics and make the immersion more comfortable.

Loot Display
Loot now looks so appealing that you definitely won’t want to miss it!


Sounds

• Car sounds have been adjusted. Now your vehicles sound so good that even the neighbors will be jealous!

Optimization

• Improved vehicle respawn functionality. Your car will return to the road faster than you can finish your coffee!
  
• Bugs have been optimized. Now they’re faster and more efficient.
  
• Grass has followed the bugs’ lead and has also been optimized.

Interface

• The racing interface has been updated for improved usability.
  
• Markers have been added in the garage tabs when there are updates.
  
• Star icons next to data in the development menu have been removed since they were not working.

Text

• Added character lines in quests. Now heroes literally talk to you!
  
• Localization errors have been fixed.

Balance

• Difficulty levels have been added for those who love challenges or just want a casual ride.
  
• Now only 4-5 quests will be displayed at a time.
  
• Recoil for the 94-KM has been reduced.
  
• The amount of experience required to level up has been decreased.
  
• Temporary speed rotation and reload upgrades have been removed.
  
• The duration of temporary armor and engine boost upgrades has been increased.
  
• The bonus from maximum speed upgrades has been decreased.
  
• The bonus from suspension upgrades has been increased.

Map

• Custom markers are now unlocked by the “Radar” technology.

Fixes

• Fixed a bug with joystick controls dropping upon loading.
  
• Fixed an issue where antennas could be used after death.
  
• Fixed the workshop. The “Auto-fill” option now takes lower-quality items, even if there are not five.
  
• Fixed a bug where car parts wouldn't detach.
  
• Fixed monster spawn distance. They will no longer appear out of nowhere—like bad jokes (though we can't promise that).
  
• Octorun will no longer twitch after death.
  
• Fixed the retreat bug for the Corpse Eater. Now it won't run away like someone who forgot to turn off the iron!
  
• Fixed the infinite spawner. No more infinite problems!
  
• Fixed a bug with tire tracks appearing all over the field upon vehicle respawn.
  
• Decreased boss detection distance (music and HP bar). They won't appear from a mile away anymore.
  
• The auto-spawner cannot be activated while the vehicle is in motion.
