much fun

I got into both this game and Kingdom based on the recommendation of a friend to play it as a group game. And I'll be honest that after playing both, I just don't like Dokapon as a whole. I'm not going to outright say the games themselves are bad, clearly these games have their fans and friendship-ruiners are kind of a hit or miss for me. Though the game does have design choices that take a lot away from it (the permanent darkness during the Volcano chapter in particular is horrible).

Ignoring the nonsense and unfairness of the games, since obviously that's the point. One major problem that both of the Steam games share, but is a lot worse in Sword of Fury, is that the games are just way too long. I'm aware that there are options present to adjust how you play and for how long, but here's the problem: I'm not getting the full experience at that point. If I want a shorter game, then I'm just playing a half-baked game.

Also the final rewards heavily incentivize dying and stalling the game as long as possible, which from what I researched was a lot more beneficial in the original but is still way too powerful in the remaster.

So overall, I can understand why this series has fans, but after playing two of the games, I really just can't have fun with them. Every session ended with me feeling drained and as the sessions went on I kept feeling like wanting to play something else.
