Digital TableTops Player

This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Easily import maps into your library, format them, and add them to your campaign. Maps are then displayed along with fog of war, digital tokens, grid overlay, and more. DM screen and hybrid optional.

Update Notes for Dec 9

9.12.

Fixed a bug that caused crashing when locking area of effect shapes to the map.

This will probably be the last update until after the holidays. I am quite busy with my main job of making wooden cases to house TV's to display maps.

After the holidays, I am tossing around the idea of completely re-writing the code from scratch. This was my first Godot project and i have learned a lot since first starting. It might be easier to start fresh than try and continue patching up what the code is now.

Anyhow, have a good holidays! Let me know if there are any other game-breaking bugs and I will try to fix them during break.

First off, thanks for your interest! I have been working on this for months in my spare time. If you have any problems, questions, or feature requests, please post them here. That way other people can see them and I do not have to answer them one by one....

Update Notes for November 9th

8.11.

Additions:

Added counters to tokens. In Roman numerals up to 20 :) After 20 they are in regular numbers lol. Should be working in DM screen as well
Increased maximum map size to 180x180. Tested with new fog of war code, working great. Will likely make this limit user-adjustable in settings in the future
Changed how imported maps are stored internally. Should help with save/load times a little. More work needs to be done but about a 2x improvement on large maps now

Next Up:

Add fog of war brush to DM screen
Complete an in-game tutorial and update web-based guide

After those are complete, we should have feature parity with between the 2 versions :)

Long Term Goals:

Finish rewriting how maps are stored internally. This is required in order to enable manual save-states. Should also help loading times slightly
Figure out how to do multi-phase (or multi-level) maps in a smooth way
Enable animated tiles (camp fires, flowing rivers, etc)
Add button to launch DM screen in browser without requiring login for multi-monitor setups
Add more free maps

Update Notes for November 2nd

1.11.

Additions:

Add ability to add new NPC tokens in DM screen. Right-click anywhere (other than on a token). The new token will show up in the center of the player screen. Unless you added a player - those tokens will show up at their last position or the starting position of the map
Add ability to edit player characters from DM screen. Right-click on the character token. Toggling torch on/off not working yet

Next Up:

Add fog of war brush to DM screen
Complete an in-game tutorial and update web-based guide

Cannot open on my TV

How do I get this to open on my TV that I want to use for the battlemat? Since it opens in full screen, I can't drag it over to the second monitor. Thank you!

I was wondering if it would be too complex to add support for Hex grids. There are a few game systems that use it.

Bug - Moving Map while Dragging Tokens may move Fog of War

I was dragging a Token while moving the map and suddenly the black Fog got moved too far, revealing an area shaped like the wall a grid space beyond the wall. I can't upload a picture here to clarify what i mean, but simply dragging a token with very high light radius while moving the map up and down (the shape of my map only allowed up and down movement) using the keyboard should repoduce this....
