Hi again everyone, I come bearing news (other than the update) and I'm excited to get stuck in.

Right now we're working towards a huge feature, the ability to purchase another property on the map and own two Pubs at the same time. I believe this will take another couple of months to get it perfect but once this is done I will consider the game out of Early Access.

What does this mean for the game? Not much in a development sense, we'll keep digging through the most suggested features and work on the next big thing, the only reason we're calling this 'complete' is because this feature (along with the others we've implemented) pretty much encompasses the vision of what we thought this game should be.

This update comes with something else which, to my surprise, has been suggested by the existing community for some time. The game is too cheap, and while I wanted to keep the price low this also comes with expectations that the game isn't very good and is 'bargain bin' tier. So for this I'll be raising it to be in-line with other Sim games in our quality range.

And now we come to the patch itself, this isn't the biggest one but should fix many of the gripes we've been facing since patch 10 and beyond.

• Save slot data not always updating
  
• Wine was drained too quickly when being drunk
  
• Shotglasses VFX went wild when used by staff
  
• Liquor drinkers didn't reward the player for each drink
  
• Shotglass UI is not accurate
  
• Storage shelves can become unusable

Hi everyone and apologies for taking so long to fix this one, it was a real pain to find and especially over Christmas. However, with fingers crossed, we believe we got it.

We've included a bunch of optimizations as well which should reduce the filesize by roughly 2gbs.

Ultimately it was an issue to do with an unused save file not updating properly and causing a crash as soon as the map was loaded. Since we load the map upon game start it caused an immediate error.

If of course you're still crashing or find other issues then please let me know and we'll be right on it.

As well as the usual bug fixes I thought it'd be nice to keep you in the loop to what's coming next, we're aiming to launch this just ahead of the Steam autumn sale.

Fluid Dynamics
We're working on making the liquids in the game look more realistic since right now it's functional but not great to look at.

Lighting Pass
We wish to make the game nicer to look at, making sure that the game has less harsh shadows especially when you expand the building.

New Game Intro
The game will start with a little more context to what's going on.

New Broken Front
New games will start with a dilapidated front, fixing it will allow a 50% increase to drink markup and gives a new short-term goal.

Tip Jars
3 tiers of tips will be added to allow you to earn a little more on the side for happy customers.

New Drink Crates
We're adding 9 more boxes for drinks, this will be to more clearly show the difference between Beers, Wines and Liquors at a glance. Then also Economic, Mid-range and Premium versions of those drink types.


Further Notes
Firstly, the property management feature is still being worked on, it won't be ready for patch 10 but I doubt it'll be too far behind it

Secondly, against my initial wishes it has been suggested from the community and internally that Pub Sim is just too cheap and people seem enthusiastic to support it further, so after the Autumn sale I will be raising the price to be more in-line with other Sim games of similar quality.

Big news! This patch also applies to the ancient Demo build which has remained the same since launch.

This is our first patch that contains not only bug fixes and new furnitures and paints, but also a completely reworked Liquor
system to remove the 'clog' you may have experienced after you've unlocked Spirits, making it the least liked aspect of the game.

Now that's cleared up, here's the notes:

Liquor Rework

• Added a new staff type, Liquor Specialist, they will walk to people sat at the bar and serve them independently
  
• Added the barstool, just one for now, liquor drinkers will use a stool if one is available, freeing up your queue
  
• Drinkers who use the stool may repeat orders, if they use the cash register they will only order once

Known issue:

• Oak bar currently isn't allowing the barstool to snap

Additional Content

• Added ability to buy blank crates to more easily move stock
  
• Added folders to the tablet to more easily navigate our increasing library
  
• Added Autumn paint set as suggested by user Vivke
  
• You can now put back glasses onto your shelf if you accidentally took one

Patch 5

This has been our longest patch in the making, we had to be sure it met better standards than our last 4.
Our continuous question has been: Is this better than the last version? And with each one that we release, that standard becomes higher and higher.

To that end, here's the notes:

• Cleaner 4 no longer requires 2,500 rep to unlock
  
• Holding RMB will remove items continuously instead of a burst of 4
  
• Shelves will no longer claim an item is there when it isn't
  
• Storage will now give accurate numbers to fridge capacity
  
• Customers are no longer sliding like an ice rink
  
• Painting a wall made it so you couldn't repaint specifically the last spot, this is fixed now
  
• Customer clothes and limbs no longer desync at long distance
  
• Money is collected after barkeeper bins an empty wine bottle
  
• Sound settings no longer reset back to 0
  
• Card should no longer stick to your hand
  
• Customers should no longer stick to their chairs
  
• Mouse sensitivity no longer resets to 50
  
• Ending a day with money on the table caused a major bug, this is fixed
  
• Customers won't hover and bug out from the counter anymore
  
• We've added a pallet size modifier to help late gamers
  
• We've added 3 more light options
  
• The summary will now show loan and staff costs
  
• Glasses now won't spawn on the pallet and take up room
  
• Stock worker has been disciplined and won't dump full kegs anymore
  
• Taps should now refresh properly after a keg has been switched out

Big changes like this can affect old saves in unexpected ways
If these issues become too much, please switch to a new save and this should fix it
