Simple, but highly satisfying and charming gun n' run. It's also a little meatier, content-wise, than some of the reviews might lead one to believe, as the hard mode (zangyou mode) has so much new content that it's less a difficulty setting than it is the second half of the game, so definitely don't skip it.

What an awesome little package. Played it in an afternoon, and ended up feeling like it was time well spent! The weapons felt nice as did the upgrades! Very interesting platforming and bosses!

Only gripe was that the jet-pack was a little awkward trying to jump straight up and at an angle since the angle jump wouldn't reach quite as high. I didn't mind full level resets on game-overs since the levels themselves were simple and short enough to not be too much of a bother the second time through.

I would recommend for anyone looking to do something for a couple hours.

definitely doesnt live up to the standard of a "cave story 2" or a cave story spiritual successor but its still a pretty decent game
